SANParks Research Strategy 2020

This research strategy aims to facilitate and enable the generation, translation, sharing and uptake of research-related knowledge, information and experience, and build organisational capacity to more effectively manage biodiversity in, create societal benefits from, and promote sustainability of, national parks in an ever-changing socio-ecological context.
In addition, it underlies the ethos of adaptive management and encourages learning through doing by monitoring, evaluating, reflecting on and reporting progress. It also highlights strategic thematic areas to guide and actively encourage a broadened future direction of research endeavours.
