South African National Parks (SANParks) today announced that the Public Participation process for the Skukuza Safari Lodge which is expected to open on 1 October 2014. SANParks invites all members of the public to participate in this process in the interest of transparency.
The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs today concluded a three day fact finding visit to the Kruger National Park. During this visit, hosted by South African National Parks, the Committee inter alia visited the scene of a recently poached rhino in the south of the Park, and was also able to interact with members of the ranger corps who are in the forefront of the fight against rhino poaching.
21 September 2014, Skukuza - In a joint South African National Parks (SANParks) and South African Police Services (SAPS) operation today (Sunday, 21 September 2014) three SANParks employees were arrested in connection with rhino poaching in the Kruger National Park.

All business operators who travel through the Kruger National Park (KNP)’s border gates i.e. Giriyondo and Pafuri, transporting passengers to and from Mozambique, will be required to produce valid passenger transport permits as from 1 August 2014. These are meant for communities residing in the Limpopo National Park (LNP) in Mozambique, who work in South Africa and often make use of the two border gates going home.
