Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking is permitted in a number of parks where animals do not pose a safety threat to riders, as well as at Olifants in the Kruger National Park.

Parks that offer Mountain Biking:

Augrabies Falls National Park

Mountain bikes are allowed inside the Park, provided cyclists remain on the official roads.

Bontebok National Park

Take a cycle or mountain bike ride in the Park. Route info is available at the Park reception office.

Garden Route National Park

Experience some of the country's finest mountain bike routes. The Harkerville, Diepwall and Farleigh routes are a must for any cyclist.

Kruger National Park

Cyclists now have the opportunity to combine their cycling skills with a wilderness experience at Olifants Rest Camp. Mountain bike trails offered are designed to bring cyclists closer to nature than the more usual Kruger game drive experience.

Table Mountain National Park

The steep slopes that characterise much of the TMNP make it ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. There are designated areas where mountain biking is allowed.

West Coast National Park

Traverse the West Coast by mountain bike, with a selection of cycling and mountain biking routes to choose from.
