Visited Pafuri picnic site yesterday, and last Friday.

Frank will never be forgotten.

What a wonderful tribute. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him.

Yes indeed, a wonderful tribute.

We only met him once. There are some people who just epitomise the spirit of Africa. He was one.

Meeting Frank somewhere in the early 2000's (I think ) was quite an experience and somewhat of a privilege due to his reputation even in those early years. At that time I had little fat on me and was fairly well built. In the subsequent couple of years before my next visit I picked up a substantial amount of weight which was concentrated around my midriff. Upon my next visit to Pafuri I boldly strutted into the picnic area bare chested as it was midsummer and the parking area was deserted. When I saw Frank I greeted him with 'Hey Frank, you remember me? ' . He replied with 'Yes I do but you have gotten fat as a pig! '
I will never forget that specific interaction. Special times...
