:hmz:
Perhaps this - according a World Health Organisation publication in 2014 and an article in “Science” by K Servick in 2016:
1. By modifying male mosquitoes so that they cannot produce viable offspring
2. By modifying male and female mosquitoes so that they resist certain diseases or are incapable of transmitting them

Thanks, Tamsy. It was an interesting exercise :D

If you see a wasp lying motionless on a pond’s surface is it dead?

That’s right, Tamsy
Yesterday morning a few wasps were drinking at the edge of our little pond when another wasp landed on the surface in the centre of the pond where it lay absolutely still for long enough for me to decide it needed help. I was just looking around for a stick to use to save it when it took off again and flew away :D

Ah that's a lovely image of the stillness and peace to watch wasps drinking. You are lucky :)

Which group of insects drink mud to get essential nutrients? They also taste with their feet.

Let me phrase the question better:
Name two insects with the word leaf cutter in their name. I don’t believe termites cut leaves (but I could be wrong)
