No, I think the biggest wine cellar in 1920 was in Paarl, the birthplace of my grandfather. The KWV cellars there are in the Guiness Book of Records as the world’s biggest cellars. But there is no National Park in Paarl

Oh OK so I found this on “Interesting Facts” on the visitors’ map for West Coast NP:
“In 1920, Geelbek had the largest wine cellar in the country. This was not due to wine production, but because the Governor General (Henry de Villiers Steytler) used Geelbek to store his vast quantities of wine.”

Well done Dream Weaver, and MZNP was also given one female from Karoo National Park, in addition to two males from Welgevonden Game Reserve, in the interests of genetic diversity. Good work SANParks!
