West Coast National Park Celebrates its 30th Crown Birthday

Unread post by CapePR »

SANParks West Coast National Park celebrated its 30th crown birthday this year and the Park commemorated this special occasion with staff, stakeholders, members from the community and local government.

The event marked 30 years of strides made in the Park with special long-service certificates handed out to staff and Park Manager Patricia Bopape mentioning a list of exciting new infrastructure upgrade projects, which are in the pipeline, including he upgrade of the R27 entrance gate to the Park which has often seen congestion.

The highlight of the event was the donation of a state of the art law enforcement speed boat by naval-based company Nautic South Africa – a much needed resource for the WCNP Marine team. The new boat will allow staff to now cover more areas of sea as well as new night vision capabilities. The Park welcomes the donation and the great benefits it will bring in the fight against conservation crimes.
Kind Regards,
