Marakele. Staff tops!

Unread post by Rocky Mike »

Hi all

Friday afternoon we were on our way to Tlopi camp for the weekend. A kinda honeymoon....

Although I have been to Marakele before, many years ago, and knew how to get there, we followed the stupid Iphone map directions.
Result? We ended up late, in the dark, without a clue where we were. Tempers started fraying....

Then we came upon a bakkie with 2 gate personnel. They kindly collected our key from the receiption, and another member took us via shortcut to our tent.

Heavensent!

I did not get these people`s names, bur rest assured, Marakele`s people is pretty high up on my list of dedicated Park staff.

If anybody is in a position to do so, please extend our thanks and compliments to Marakele`s gate staff again!

Ollie, thanks for the wonderful review .... so many times we are quick to complain but slow to give praise. This is heartwarming to know - we will be there in October with 2 American couples (friends) who are super excited about their upcoming trip to KNP. I will share this with them.

Impressed with Online Booking

Unread post by Guinea Pig »

I made a booking with Central Reservations via email for accommodation in KNP in November. It was a bit slower than the usual phone call, but all correct and completed without trouble.

During this booking process I made use of BOOK ONLINE for the first time ever. This is the really impressive bit. Awesome way to keep your bookings together in one place. I will be in Phalaborwa next week so decided to have a go at booking a day visit for one day. Process completed in less than 5 minutes. Again - really impressive.

Well done to the tech team for this.
