The Mapungubwe tour is a must for anyone who has a good pair of legs. Although you do not have to scale mountains, there is a bit of stair climbing. It is well worth it though.

If you do not like heights, there is always the dungeon option.
Actually, this was fascinating, as it gave a sense of the excavations taking place. It certainly took us back into the history of the earth.
Notice we are wearing very warm clothing. It must have been the coldest few days of the year. Some, poor unsuspecting folk came dressed for summer and really had an unpleasant time in the open vehicle. Always take a jacket on an open vehicle.

oh I cant agree with you more, Rosemary. Sad to say that I wont be visiting Mapungubwe this year but I look forward to spend some time there again next year April.
