Here's one that has irked me for quite a while:

In the Luvuvhu floodplain, Hutwini Mountain in the background.

False-fig (Trilepisium madagascariense) has been suggested to me. Not implausible, the tree occurs in the Soutpansberg, so seeds could have been washed down the Luvuvhu. It is not a tree I'm familiar with, though.

Suggestions and ideas welcome.

I have often wondered what this tree is? It was taken at the Girivana on S12/S40 was a haven for birds :D . But sadly the last time it was a very barren area :( .
picnic time was not the same sadly, even Cyril the squirrel was missing

Africa's animals move at their own pace, so let us follow suit and let them.

Can anyone help with an ID for this tree? It's at the intersection of Tafelberg Road and Kloof Nek Road in Cape Town, seen in late December 2021.

Hi Arks
This looks like Corymbia ficifolia. (Red Flowering Gum)
