Re: Sunset Dam

It was a hot day and the Impala were really thirsty running down to the water's edge and happily drinking at Sunset Dam, not worrying about the Crocodiles that were around them.
Image

One of the Crocs move ... and the Impala stop drinking and move around with not much space between the Crocs and themselves.
Image

1. A Croc suddenly SNAPS open it's mouth and ...
2. one of the Impala gets a huge "skrik" and jumps high into the air. Impala start jumping around with fright ... almost standing on the Crocodiles around them

Image

Check how high this poor Impala jumps in order to get away ...
Image

She jumps right over the other Impala and the Crocodiles.

I decided to show you the sequence of the Fish Eagle catching the fish as it makes interesting viewing.

The catch of the Catfish was not so easy for the Fish Eagle as he floundered quite a bit in the water trying to get out and fly off.
I think that the Catfish may have given him a bit of a fight as we watching him trying to regain his balance in the water without letting go of the fish.

It eventually regained it's balance in the water ...

... and flew off to the bank with what looked like a Catfish.

Fish Eagle Part 2

Off the Fish Eagle flew ...

Image

... and landed on the bank of the Dam. It was about to enjoy his catch when ...

Image

... suddenly a juvenile Fish Eagle came swooping down and challenged it for it's fish ...

Image

A bit of a challenge ensued ...

Image

Image

... The juvenile won the battle and off he flew with the fish. By this time the poor adult Fish Eagle was rather tired after being challenged by the fish itself in the water and then lost his catch to a precocious juvenile.
