Irfanview Program

Can anyone recommend a free reader — similar to the Acrobat reader for PDF files perhaps? — for opening PSD files? Many thanks for any advice!

Good morning Arks,
PSD files are exclusive for Photoshop and as far as I know there are no free readers for this format. I use CorelDraw a lot for paging and import PSD files without too many problems.
If I am not wrong you can download the free version of Photoshop Elements which allows you to open and read PSD format files.

Irfanview will happily read them.
It's a free program, and if you install the plugins you'll be able to see almost all fileformats, including movies and pdf's.
I often use it for quickly seeing which photos I took before firing up Lightroom (old pc, saves time).
You can export, resize, crop and some other basic functions with the photos, psd's etc.
Not posting much here anymore, but the photo's you can follow here There is plenty there.

Feel free to use any of these additional letters to correct the spelling of words found in the above post: a-e-t-n-d-i-o-s-m-l-u-y-h-c

AFAIK IrfanView will also read PSD files - also most likely just about any other graphics format you can imagine. (Have not used for some time so not sure if it is fully compatible with the latest PS versions)

Googling "psd reader" also lists "PNG PSD Viewer V1.0" and "PSD Viewer V3.2" but I have never used either.
