i am working for a company that paints roadmarkings. I am a quality controler checking all the white lines on the new road outside nelspruit on the way to the airport.
Basically i measure the distance between the lines, their width and the height or thickness of the paint. One by one. Walking the whole day

Hi Andrew. Sorry- I have a very demanding work now and do not spent much time on the forum. I leave early in the morning for work while most of you are still sleeping and arrive back late at night.
I can tell you though, that because I drive out so early in the morning, people will think that I see much more game. Sadly, this is just a myth. I have only seen leopard three times in three weeks in the morning, and lion I've seen plenty- but on the way back.

Now lets discuss something that is in discussion as we speak on the forum, and will be discussed untill most of us are in retirment houses.
Speeding.
I leave skz before 5 in the morning, so being winter and all, the people that are on the roads that time is staff, right. I arrive after 8 pm, so the people that are supposed to be on the road that time is staff, right?
Right. But I can in all honesty say, (as a person who hates the thought that my family will be leaving this place we call home in the next few weeks) that most of the people who are on the roads that times mentioned above are in fact not staff. They are called IDIOTS.
I say it again, for all to read: IDIOTS.
I have always experienced speeding in the park, but let me tell you- in the non- tourist times- it by far worse. I was flashed the other night, because I was driving in the middle of the road at 60. IDIOT behind me wanted to pass. I have been passed by many, many at 60 or more k/m per hour. And then the best one day before yesterday- I got a lioness sitting in the middle of the road, waited for a IDIOT behind me, so he/ she could also appreciate nature, but guess what- the thing had no intention of appreciating nature. The minute it was next to me, it put on its brights and chased away the lioness. Now, all you intelligent peeps out there- guess in which department it is working- The SA Police. Brilliant. you just showed me again that you have no respect for anything in life. IDIOT.

So, without futher adue, I am presenting the IDIOT of the month Award to............ Mr brainless SAPS member driving to Skz Thursday, 17 June at 8 pm. Well done. You make SAPS proud, you bloody b@stard. You agent!

Enough of that. Its been a bit chilly in skuks this past three days, but nothing deters us to still enjoy a braai at night.
Sad thing is that a leopard hat to be put down last week. she was roaming around in the village, and was sick. Very dangerous. Lions has been sighted in the village on numerous occasions as well in the past week or two. What a wonderful place to be.

WACKTAZZ, it is SO good to have you back, even if it is only for awhile.
I really miss your entertaining account of life in Kruger.

MALEALEA,   . Do yourself a favour and look for Wacktazz's thread, under the Kruger National Park section. It's called "WHAT'S IT LIKE TO LIVE IN KRUGER". You will need quite a bit of time to go thro' it but maybe then, you will get to know, the WACKTAZZ we all got to know. It's his account of his day to day life living and working in Kruger and well worth reading.

Wacktaz, you have to go back to basics!

It works, period, no debate.

Now, I am sorry if I went all crazy yesterday, complaining and ranting.
So now I am in a better mood, and I can tell you a bit more about this dredfull place.

I have a huge tooth ache, and not strong enough mediceine. So, here, without futher adue, is my bush remedy for all of you insisting on staying outside civilization:

Step one. Try to speak to a doctor to ask him what is wrong with you.
2. Realise that you are screwed, because you either do not have the means to get the mediceine, or the doctor does not have the medicine in stock.
3. Go to the shop and buy a bottle of strong medicine- no need for a prescription. In my case tonight a bottle of Vodka, which comes with 43% alcohol- free in the purchase price.
4. Dilute the medicine slightly- not too weak and serve with or without ice.

Drink 4 glasses within 45 minutes. And wait.

It works. the pain is gone- but beware- do not walk around too much. You might end up bumping your knee to a coffee table.

Your speach starts doing funny things, and you vision decreases. You become wiser by the minute. In my case, I am so clever as I am sitting here now, that you can ask me anything. About any subject
BTW- thats how most of us spend our Friday evenings. The IQ on Fridays in Skukuza is unbelievable high, but so is the stress levels of many woman in skukuza.

Let me just get another glass of medicine, before I get stupid again... :D

Wacktazz, I hope your tooth ache will pass soon, if not do a DIY job...all you need is some more medicine and a medium size pliers to do the delicate job. Be sure to pull the right one though!!

Did you see the story about Mr Bean going to the dentist?
