Succulent: Kudu Lily

Succulent: Kudu Lily
I have read on several internet sites that the KUDU LILY is poisonous to cats, dogs and horses. What about parrots - small parrots? I bought one from the Kruger in September - but have a 9 month old Senegal parrot that is very curious and at this stage eats everything. She chew on the leaves and now I am worried?
Re: KUDU LILY - question about it being poisonous
According to the book: "Trees of Southern Africa" by Keith Coates Palgrave, only the Pachypodium lealii is listed. It says: "The latex has been used to prepare arrow poison and contains a glucosied, pachipodiin, which has an action similar to that of digitalis."
No mention is made of Pachypodium Saundersii.
I hope this is of some assistance to you.

Re: KUDU LILY - question about it being poisonous
The book on poisonous plants by Van Wyk (et al) do not mention anything about the Kudu lily.
