I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Hugh and Elizabeth for offering their home as the venue for the meet with Rayb.

We had a lovely evening last night, and thanks to all those who managed to be there, weather was perfect, we all sat around a lovely log fire, enjoyed a braai, a couple of glasses of wine and a lot of nattering, mostly about Kruger, strangely enough. :hmz:
It was great meeting Ray and family at last after many months.
Take time each day to be with nature

Thank you, Hugh and Elizabeth!

It was a most enjoyable evening....... The log fire was great, all we needed was to hear the distant roar of Lion, or the eerie call of Hyena! Lovely braai indeed....:D

RayB, it was such a pleasure meeting you and family, and hearing all your travel tales!

Keep well and travel safely....

Great to meat Ray and family. Safe travels back home again.

just come back from the meet (literelly)

had a lot of fun!!!!!!!

No pics from me but maybe someone else took who came on the meet?

We saw the eagles just before we all left

Also with the help of oom, laine,Imax and Game@spotter i now have
3 new ticks

We shared birding tales, and talked about kruger and its birdlife.

If i did not look at the members mugshots last night i would never have found oom, laine, imax etc.

we were waiting at the entrance and then i saw Game@spotter with his BRIGHT yellow shirt and folowed him which led us to oom and laine.

we sat talking at the restuarant and then Imax came  With his daughter :D

anyway we had alot of fun :D

Hi all :D

Was nice meeting the few that actually pitched up  Nice to connect a face and personality to a forum name. As for the bright shirt, HEY I tried to promote things here

I'm just glad there are still many wildlife maniacs like myself around here  Thnaks for the effort, and WTM...I forgive you, enjoy your Kruger trip

I wonder if I did take pics of the few of us ..... Will see later :)

BM,

I had a long thought and have put in a quite a bit of research in about the Woodpecker we've seen. It was a Cardinal Woodpecker and not Golden-Tailed. Hope it is still a new tick for you?

It was really awesome to have been able to meet up with so many new faces! It was really a lovely little outing. Thanks guys.

ps: Imax, if you don't tell, then I won't.
