Re: Marakele: ADVICE
I have been hearing mixed information about a recent fire in Marakele. Does anyone have current information about how bad it was and which part of the park did it affect. We have 5 days in Tlopi and wonder if it was damaged?

Please see answers given on the SANParks Marakele FB Group
This was natural fire that started inside the park and no animals are being fed there is still enough food for the animals
The fire started from the east towards the towers, no life lost its an exaggeration from some of our clients. It was dealt with by all the teams from the park.

Are sunset or night drives available when staying at Motswere Guest Cottage? I appreciate that it is quite a long drive from Tlopi tented camp to Motswere, and even further from Reception. I would just like to know, as my granddaughter was asking and we are due there at the end of June.
