I was finally successful in booking a Bush Braai at Lower Sabie.
I reached someone at Punda Maria but they do not do Bush Braais.
I need the contact emails for Olifants to try to arrange one there.
Thank you
That's great re Lower Sabie, and thanks for the update re Punda Maria.
I have these contact details for Olifants, Nomonde was a big help to me in 2022, I am sure she will be able to help you find out about bush braais at Olifants, but I don't know if these details are still correct.

Hi everyone
I am hoping to book my stay in July 2025 (guess who will be on the phone as soon as bookings open later this month) and was wondering about bush breakfasts. Lots of people have commented on the evening braais which sound great! But I was wondering if anyone has recently gone on the bush breakfast and what this was like?
Thanks for taking the time to help a fellow bush lover out!

Warm welcome to the forum Cal79.
I don't think bush breakfasts are offered any more.
But if anyone has been on one recently, then please do let us know.
In the mean time the evening bush braai's are fantastic experiences.

Hi All!
I'm looking for some updated advice on the Bush Braais in Kruger National Park.
Myself and two colleagues are traveling from Canada to South Africa for work, and we're planning to spend a few days exploring Kruger afterward. We're thinking of visiting a combination of camps, such as Skukuza, Olifants, Satara, and Crocodile Bridge. We've heard great things about the Bush Braais and would love to experience one! I have a few questions:
1) How much do they cost per person? I haven't been able to find clear information on this.
2) I understand there's a minimum of 6 people needed to book. Is this minimum usually easy to meet at any of these locations, or should we try to do it in a busier camp to increase our chances?
3) On that note, do we need to inquire and book at a specific camp, or is it possible to contact someone telling them were flexible with our location and timing to take advantage of whichever opportunity arises first.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum Arnold.
Firstly if you only have a few days like 2 or 3 I would advise staying in one camp so you can maximise your time in the area.
Skukuza is the biggest and main camp in Kruger and really has everything you need, nice accommodation, restaurants choices, good shop and take away plus a good network of roads and you can cover down south to Lower Sabie and even Croc Bridge in a day and even north as far as Satara and back on another day during that time.
Being the biggest and busiest camp your chances of getting on a Bush braai would be better there than the smaller quieter camps.
Prices vary from around R850 to R950 per person depending on the restaurant that is doing the catering.
You have to contact the camp directly requesting the braai but maybe if you are fixed on a specific day you could just make enquiries from reception once there.
But otherwise there are also the guided morning, sunset and night drives to consider or even one of the guided walks.
Please do ask if there are any further questions we can help with.

How was the Bush Braai at Lower Sabie? If you have pics or can tell us more about your experience we would really like to know more! Things like...what time did it start? How was the mini-game drive to the picnic site? What was the braai site like? How was the food? And anything else you'd like to share. Or ANYONE that has gone on a Bush Braai from Lower Sabie would love to hear about it
