Thank you for taking me round the smaller, overlooked parks in SA :gflower: :gflower: . They are so very important to the conservation of flora and fauna of the region.

Thanks for another detailed and informative Trip Report. Always interesting to see our parks through the eyes of 'foreigners'... but it seems that the two of you are becoming experts on our 'backyards' .... you may even be able to apply for citizenship one of these days.....

Enjoy the planning and wait, till your next visit.

"The next trip is 2 nights at Golden Gate Highlands NP from August 24th "

At Golden Gate you Must visit the vulture restaurant. Look out for Bearded Vultures, not just on the ground but in check out all the flying birds ....
You now also have the dinosaur centre to look forward too.

FinMari, I had to do a bit of catching up — but oh, I’m so glad I did! :gflower:

What a beautifully told adventure, from misty morning zebras to dassies on watch and those sweeping Karoo views. Your updates make me feel like I’m right there beside you, munching naartjies and soaking in the peace. :D

Those lamb shanks looked absolutely worth the wait, and the birding? Just brilliant — I always learn something new reading along.

Counting down with you now until August — not long to go!
Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

O no...your TR has come to an end :(

Feeling rather  you will be going again before long. Wish we could visit that often too...

Would love to join you at the restaurant in september but afraid we will not be able to make it this time :?
