Temporary Closure of Mathekenyana
Mathekenyane granokoppie has been temporarily closed after a lioness with new (very small) cubs was spotted.
This closure is for safety purposes.
Important to note that guests are permitted to exit their vehicles once they are at Mathekenyane; with the lioness currently there this will not be possible without posing a safety risk to our guests.
The Section Ranger will closely monitor the area and advise once the mother and her cubs have moved and reopen access to this area.
