Aspiring wildlife caretaker

Unread post by Dmoore »

I am currently an undergrad student with a major in animal science and minor in wildlife management. My end goal is to move to South Africa and help animals native to the land. I was curious if there is any advice to be given to find work at Kruger National Park in helping/treating animals? Are there any internship opportunities available?

Hi

Sounds an interesting plan you have. I don't know the answer to your questions but I was wondering whether you might consider volunteering at wildlife rehabilitation centres? There are a few different centres that take volunteers. Might be a nice introduction to the challenges of wildlife conservation.

Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with your questions.
