Co-existence

Unread post by ChristineS »

At first the *** had the waterhole to itself, then a small herd of elephants arrived. Although outnumbered by much larger elephants the *** refused to move and cede ownership of the waterhole. The elephants stood back from the waterhole for around 10 minutes until a silent compromise appeared to have been reached. The elephants slowly moved to the water without disturbing the ***.

It was a good opportunity to photograph two very threatened mammals so close together.

Christine, what a heartwarming image. I really love it. 8)

You seem to have had some fantastic sightings on your last visit.
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.
