One of my best posing Zebiie in golden light......

Welcome to my Kruger thread of highlights, stories and snippets of many visits to Kruger. I am so far behind processing enough images for every visit to Kruger and rather decided to share snippets and highlights of some of our amazing sightings of all the trips in one thread.........

......as usual, we will be sharing many images. Hope you will enjoy all our amazing sightings, plus we will appreciate any comments or just a.....

Episode 1

The first story is from our July 2021 Lower Sabie trip..

Over the years we had many once in a lifetime sightings but the first one we want to share is personally ranked as one of the best ever......our own National Geographic sighting...

We were as usual early out and stopped at Sunset Dam with the moon still hanging in the sky....

Image

We then decided to turn South on the gravel S82 road.....

We spotted a beautiful Brown-headed Parrot........

Image

Image

Suddenly from behind a Hyena ran at full speed passed us.........

Image

Then we saw another one at full speed running towards us........

For me, the images I would share over a few episodes are my best ever. The light was changing all the time between the shadows and the Hyena was running at full speed..... ...I wish there was time for a video to record the eerie sound, but hoping you will feel the adrenaline through these images ...............

We were on our way to Sunset dam on the H4-1when we spotted a Martial Eagle in golden light with a kill......
