I am looking for recommendations "en route".
We are planning a trip from
OT -Tambo to Punda Maria to Mapungubwe (Vhembe and Limpopo camps) and back to OR Tambo. Does anyone have any recommendations for
1) Lunch stop from JNB to Punda Maria
2) Stopover on our way from Punda Maria to Mapungibwe
3) either lunch or overnight stop from Mapungubwe to JNB. I am considering a visit to UP museu to see their Mapungubwe collection which could be replaced yb an overnight stop instead?
I am double posting this under Northen Parks and Kruger NP as it relates to both parks.

I am not sure if we are allowed to recommend accommodation outside of the Park? So apologies if this is against the rules.
Are you planning to drive from Punda Maria via Pafuri, then Musina to Mapungubwe; or through Louis Trichardt-Makhado? We stayed in a bush lodge just outside Pafuri Gate (Nthakeni), in a very comfortable 1-bed cottage and would highly recommend as a well run bush camp. No electricity - there is a fridge and lights on solar and paraffin lamps and a donkey boiler for hot water - and views over the Matule river. We also stayed in a self-catering cottage near LT-Makhado that I would also recommend (Zvakanaka) but that may not be on your route?
