Absence of SANParks officials on Table Mountain paths since lockdown level 3

Hi there,

As crime continues to increase on Table Mountain (mugging 2 days ago on kloof corner; was also approached by someone with a weapon yesterday, also other incidents), I would like to ask why SANPARKS have removed their personnel that were stationed in the area during lockdown level 5 and 4?

It seems that catching people running on the mountain during previous lockdown levels is more of a priority than sorting out the crime problem on this international icon.

What are the plans here to improve the situation or do a few more people have to get attacked and murdered for a response?

It's time to up your game in this area SANParks. We also need tourism to come back after this virus and controlling crime on the mountain must be a priority and requires a lot of feet on the ground.
