Golden Gate Fees

Unread post by NewbieTraveler »

Hi all!

Please assist, I've never been to the GGHNP, I would love to visit the Cathedral Caves in April.

Could someone please explain the fees and booking?

I already have accommodation nearby (will not be staying in the park, only a day visitor). I also do not hold any permits, memberships, etc.

How much would day entry cost for 2 people? What are the "free routes" that are included? Please note, only tarred roads, not 4x4 roads.

How much is entry to the Cathedral Caves? Does one have to do this in a group?

Thanks in advance!! :gflower:

Hi Matthys,

Thanks for the reply!!

So it would be R280 p/p if I understand the table correctly?
Any idea how much extra the Caves are? Would they match us up with other people there to make the minimum group amount?

Hi NewbieTraveler

I think you added the tariffs for SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS and RESIDENTS (with ID) and that for STANDARD CONSERVATION FEE
(All other nationalities)
to get to this total ?
Please also see the tariffs here.

I don't have any more info about the Cathedral Cave hike. Please contact the Park for that.
