Good day Members,

I had been on the forum a good few years ago but due to working away did not participate but I registered and I am back again and it is good to see that the forum is still going strong. Unlike most members I am lucky enough to reside in a Big Five Pvt Game Reserve near Hoedspruit midway between the Orpen and Phalaborwa gates. As I am sitting here there are 2 Nyala females wandering my braai area. I guess you you wondering what I am doing here as I live in a reserve, well I still visit the Kruger many weekends for a day trip and never get tired of places like Olifants etc and I try to visit the Kgalagadi once a year and always good to see what members post. Anyway, just a short intro, you all have a great day.. Werner

Very warm welcome to the forum Werner, glad you have joined us.
Sounds like you live in a wonderful place and also close enough to be able to go into the park on a regular basis. 8)

Welcome Subrat. I have no doubt you will love the kgaladi. It's a very special place.

Please do share your pictures after your trip, it's so lovely to see what people have seen

My name is Dominic and I'm new here.

Myself and my family will be visiting Port Elizabeth and we have decided to spend our Xmas doing a game drive as day visitors. Do we have to book in advance to secure entrance? Is it safe to use "hop-on drive". We will using a seven seater and almost overloaded, that is 4 adults and 4 kids.

Please tell me the best to make this day enjoyable.

Thank you.

Hi dnyathi and a warm welcome to the forums :gflower: :gflower:

I would say it would be the best to prebook as a day visitor at Addo during the Xmas holidays.

You can read through Addo: Hopon Guides for more info.

Not sure how you will accommodate the guide in your almost overloaded vehicle, but if the kids are still young then it might be possible.

Please have a look at Frontier Forum for more info on Addo.

Ask if there is anything else.

Enjoy your trip

Hello Karin
Thanks for the welcome

Unfortunately I still miss the confirmations. I wrote Sunday on [email protected]. No answer at all. :(
My english is not good enough to make a call.
Cross the fingers please.
