I cant agree with Charmaine's comment more. Friendly, helpful and well stocked - that's how I found the Park Shops at all camps I have visited recently. Well done!

Outstanding job. They definitively deserve the recognition. The only time most people take notice of the supporting staff is on the rare occasion when something is amiss.

Help - above and beyond

Unread post by brewersfriend »

We had to leave JNB airport without one of our suitcases.

We arrived at Satara and explained our problem to Patience, the Duty Manager. She dropped everything to help.
She contacted David of Ashton's transfers who arranged for one of their drivers, Chris, to collect the case from the airport and transfer it to Hazyview to where Patience drove, from Satara to collect it for us.
Satara to Hazyview return - to collect our case - good job. Thanks Patience.

Will remember your kindness,

Peter & Caroline

While I'm impressed with the help that you received from Patience, I'm actually surprised that your airline didn't deliver your bag to you at Satara. I know that several years ago, when one of my bags was delayed, BA delivered it to me at the rural location where I was staying north of Cape Town. Now granted that Satara is a bit farther away for Joburg than I was from Cape Town, but even so ... so far as I know, it is the airline's responsibility to deliver a delayed bag, NOT yours to organise its delivery? :hmz:

Whether the airline or not was responsible for the delivery of the bag Patience from Satara deserves a Kudu and a big than you . :gflower:

I made no mention that the airline had anything to do with it.
The baggage problem was of my own making - nothing I stress was the airlines fault.

All I wanted to do was to give SOME recognition of the help that I received from Patience. That's all.
