The Halfcollared is not often seen and photographed. They have the most amazing bright blue colour and one of my favorite Kingfishers

Jan, I recently bought a copy (2nd hand, it is out of print) of the Helm Kingfishers, Rollers & Bee-eaters off the World.
Really worth getting if you are interested in this group of birds.
