Mini meet @ Rietvlei nature reserve

Hi there mites

We will be in South Africa in August and thought it would be a great idea to get together with new and old mites.

We will be in the Gauteng area the first and last weekend of August before we fly back home. What do you think about a mini meet at Rietvlei game reserve on Saturday the 4th of August '18? Maybe a nice 'bring and braai' , or any other suggestions are more than welcome?

It was a great meet (although tough),was in 2 minds about going but really pleased I did. Thank you to all for the love it just reminded me what an awesome group we all belong to. Weather wise it was also perfect would think its summer already .

Mellory, thanks so much for comming. I know this must have been difficult for you but as you said, the forum is like one big family who support each other in good and difficult times. Im so glad you came so I can finally meet you.

Thanks to everyone who attended for a fantastic afternoon. It was perfect weather, we had a nice braai and spending the afternoon with all you awsome people was the best. Thanks a million.

Hi everyone,

It was great to see everyone at the mini meet at Rietvlei Nature Reserve on Saturday 4th August 2018.

We missed you Barry and Hilda. We were glad to see Karen Mitton earlier on in the day at the Coffee Shop. Unfortunately she had to go home early to take her son to the Dr, so Karen didn't make the braai and see all the other people there.

It was lovely to meet all the new people whose names we are familiar with on the forum, but had never met. It is always good to see the regulars there too.

The sightings of the day driving around Rietvlei were great as well, and those that stayed late were fortunate to see the cheetahs near the coffee shop. I am sure they will add their pics and videos of them. How exciting was that!!!
