Nocturnal Birds of Southern Africa

Unread post by Yoda »

Nocturnal Birds of Southern Africa - John Carlyon

An excellent book on the nocturnal birds of SA including Owls, Nightjars, Night Herons, Dikkops, Coursers and Bat Hawks
There is also a chapter on some marginal/part time night birds for eg Bittern

Each group is dealt with chapter by chapter with distribution maps, info about the birds etc.
The photography is superb. There are multiple photos of each species and habitats

Well worth adding to the collection
