The first butterfly looks like Pieris Rapae, Small white Pieris Rapae, (pieridae) to me.

If so...This one is very common in north of europe. Does this one live in SA as well?

Cabbage white / Kool-witjie / Pieris brassicae

The cabbage white is actually an introduced species from Europe, but is is now found in a very large area in the Western Cape and its range is still rapdily expanding.

Looks like a Cabbage White (Pieris brassicae), accidentally introduced into the Western Cape from Europe and first recorded in 1994.
