You get the Lebombo Ironwood in Kruger.

OK thanks Mr. Leadwood :twisted: 8) .....I do a lot Multiple Choice questions lately (ot is it multiple guessing :doh: ) but anyway, I get confused easliy...

So the Ironwood/Ysterhout is not the leadwood referred to as hardekoolhout (not like a synonym for it?) but a separate tree species? :hmz:

Not too bad ... for a confused person! :lol:

Combretum imberbe = Leadwood = Hardekool

Androstachys johnsonii = Lebombo Ironwood = Wildekweper = Lebombo ysterhout.

These two are not even family.

Leadwood = Combretum family
Lebombo ironwood = Euphorbia family (as is Tamboti, Lebombo Euphorbia etc.)
Imberbe = Combretum imberbe = Leadwood = Hardekool = The spirit of the Wildernis!

Got some mome more info about leadwood trees.... Did you guys know that most of the 'statute-like', dead trees in Kruger are dead leadwood trees, and that it's stem and branches remain for years, because they are so hard, and take decade to rot....

Small but interesting details :wink:
