Hi Stevengzn :D

Number 15. It is situated next to the perimeter on the left hand side, very close to the fence. It has a small view on the river between nr 16 and 17. According to me, a very wonderful location.

Have fun

Would help greatly if anybody maybe knows the exact content of these kitchenettes.

Hi Wikus, and a warm welcome to the forum! :D
Yes, there are pots/pans, plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery, other utensils for cooking, kettle, (there was a toaster as well when we were last there.)
So basically pretty much all you need for self catering/braaing.
One tip is to take along some proper steak knives as they generally only have ordinary table ones which are often not very sharp!

Enjoy!

Hi there

We have booked the last hutted accommodation available over December....EH5.
It seems that these are at the ends of the EH3's, so four of them to choose from: 49, 54, 55 & 60.
Which one should we request/is the best out of the lot? (I realise that we should not expect much here, but would like to make it as good as possible!)
Do we go with the one furthest away from the road? Anything else we need to know? (like: are the EH3's usually booked by tour operators?).

Thanks
Rooikat

Hi Rooikat

Most of the EH5's are the same and are very nice, my advise is to avoid number 55. It has very and I mean very big steps, its closest to the road to the staff village and pool, and due to the setup of the huts you dont really have a nice area to sit at a table outside your hut.

I have never seen tour operators book the EH3 huts.

Thank you so much Gatita.

(I saw this tent on one of my last trips and thought it was a honeymoon tent or 4 sleeper tent because it seemed so huge. Will have to carry a chair down to the braai in order to sit there to enjoy the fire.)

Morning Shikaari :D

You have booked a wonderful accom - FU4V's are really something ...

Your questions:
1. Unit numbers 94/93 (and I think 92/91 as well - not sure). Have a look at this units by going to the Board Topic, CAMPS and ROADS, click on Accommodation Photos, scroll down for Lower Sabie and you can see for yourself.

2. It is situated at the most eastern side of the camp, the last units next to the BD3U'S /BD2U's, VERY near to the fence with a spectacular view on the river.

3. Very spacious, big private patio, big kitchen area with two glass slide doors - leading to two double rooms en-suite.

4. For photos, please go to the above-mentioned Topic.

I am really  - you will have a wonderful stay

As someone beat me to booking the FU4V unit that was available  , we are investigating the FU5. From all the info on the forum, I still can not get my head around this unit!

Pictures on roaneric's accommodation thread show two doors (but is there a third?)...as in one door to kitchen, one to one bed and bathroom and another to another bed and bathroom.

What does the "no interleading doors means? (Each room seperate and you have to walk out onto the stoep to get to next bedroom?). Or are the bedrooms together and the bathrooms not interleading?

Anyone able to clear this for me, please?

Dear Rooikot

No interleading doors means that each bedroom is separate and you have to walk out onto the stoep to get to the next bedroom. Please note that each bedroom has its own bathroom inside.

Hi Nimrod :yaya:

The riverview tents at LS are absolutely amazing! I've stayed @ nr 19 and the view was spectacular, we had hippos grazing with kudus and buffs sleeping in front of our tent. But I have heard tha nr 20 and 27 have great views as well

I sent an email to the person in charge of allocating accommodation at Lower Sabie requesting a specific EH3 unit. I got my information from the map of the camp. I got a response saying that the EH3 accommodation that is shown on the camp map is actually the EH5 accommodation. I requested a corner hut as I do not want to be in the middle, as it happens we have been allocated number 51. Is it on the end or in the middle of the row? Please can somebody/anybody shed some light on this confusing situation that has arisen?

From this map it seems that number 51 (just below the Moffat guest house) is in the middle of a row, sorry Tent dweller.
I might be wrong though.

I think the end unit 49, on previous page, in Crested Val's photo, is a 5 sleeper, 50 being a 3 sleeper and I think 51 is a 3 sleeper. At the other end is another 5 sleeper so the 3 sleepers are between the 5 sleepers.
