I took this pic near Letaba in April and thought it was a dusky lark, but a really nice South African chap from Worcester who I was chatting to at Pafuri and who seemed very knowledgeable was sure it's a groundscraper thrush.
Who's right? [I have a nasty feeling it's not going to be me.]

You are right, granjan... not all nice chaps from Worcester are what they seem to be... :twisted:

Another one recently spotted in the western section of Mapungubwe.Could this be a Dusky Lark?

What Cisticola is this one?

Dear 'mites,
Sorry for the bad pics... I can ID this bird we saw in S48 in Summer as a Cisticola, but I am fighting to identify which Cisticola is this... Can someone help?

Your bird is not a Cisticola but a Dusky Lark.
