Hi,

Could somebody give me some advice on how I can change my booking from Mapungubwe to the Kruger if I have already paid the deposit?

I did a similar thing recently. I cancelled 2 weeks in KTP and made reservations in 4 of the Northern and Eastern Cape parks. I went to Reservation House near Cresta and the lady there cancelled KTP, made the other bookings and I ended up with a credit on my SANParks "account". Because there were 4 other parks involved, I had to phone someone at SANParks HO at Groenkloof and allocate the KTP money between the 4 new parks. All very easy!

As the parks are different I would ring SANParks and ask them on the phone. The reservations team are great at sorting complications out in my experience.

I emailed the Reservation Office, I'm just waiting for them to come back to me. I booked for Biyamiti.

Booking Cancellation advice urgent!!!

Hi,

I did a booking for Satara camp for 6th jan in a wrong category ( international ) as I am South Arican resident. I saw that I was charged international conservation fees.

Hence I went and cancelled my booking in 30mis. I did get a cancellation confirmation letter stating that the amount had been placed in my client no... I am not sure what is this. I need to rebook urgently for the same day
But unfortunately cant do unless my money is released from my previous bookings.

Can someone please advise if I can use the already paid amount to rebook and when will the difference be credited Back to me.

As I understand it, your credit for the cancellation should show up when you go into your online Sanparks reservations account. Have you checked your account online to see if the credit is there?

Your client number is shown on all the documentation that Reservations send you. Have a look on your original booking confirmation letter and it should also be on the front page of the cancellation notice.

You should be able to use your cancellation credit to re-book without a problem. When I cancelled a reservation it showed up in the online account very promptly.

Go to Reservations at the top of the Home Page. Then go to online booking. I was assuming you did the original booking on the website but no matter, your details will hopefully come up BUT you will have to register there for the first time which involves another registration of a username and password etc. Once you get that sorted from then on you can view all your bookings and transactions and change/cancel bookings etc.

Just wanted to add that if the online system is a problem for you just phone reservations with your cancellation notice to hand. You can quote them your client number from it and then explain what you want to do. They will have the details including your credit on the computer system so no problem.
Phone not an option? Email them your new booking request quoting your client number, name and other contact details and noting that you have a credit on the system. Good luck!

Here is the link to the online bookings she mentions - it is a good idea to register there as you can then always view, adjust your bookings in the future too; just ensure you use your Client no. link

BH - I see you posted while I was typing.

You will either need to wait for tomorrow when you can call Reservations, between 7.30 and 10am.

Or try and amend your information in 'Update your Profile' on the Online Bookings to make it that you are a SA citizen. Try that first.

Hi Bunny Hugger, from my past experience you need to make your booking first thing tomorrow morning. The Joburg Heathway office (011 678 8870) opens at 7.30am. They will then give you a phone number in Pretoria, which you contact, and your funds are paid into your booking immediately. You just need your booking number. I looked for the number for you, but must have it written down at work. Hope you get sorted out.

Bunny Hugger - I agree - Reservation House at Heathway Centre is the best for reservations. I think the Pretoria number Wild Thing referred to is 012 426 5102 - the sorted out my credit and allocated to another booking in no time at all.
