Hi again Mattib,

Not a clear pic, but with the pale back I would guess that it's a White-backed Vulture. Are there any other pics of this one?

Sorry barcud this was the only pic that he wanted to take :cry: but is he big enough to be a white-backed vulture. :huh:

Hi Mattib,

I think it's big enough for one of the Vultures. I've seen Hooded Vulture with white backs like this one as well, but the pic is too dark to be certain of which one it is. The flight feathers and legs dangling down are also good pointers to it being one of the two I've mentioned.

General appearance is that of a white-backed vulture.

See this discussion about making an ID of white-backed vs Cape vultures. Give particular credence to the post by TG... he is an absolute birding boffin :wink:

I would say that is a White-backed Vulture.
Cape Vultures are much more heavily built and have pale eyes.

but I see the expert has given his advice already! :thumbs_up:
