The book I love using is "The Kruger Park in 20 days"
With this e-book you can see and read about more than 300 points of interest in the Park - a fantastic route planning tool for visitors to the Park.
It offers GPS coordinates for way-points like waterholes, picnic spots, lookout points, rest camps, etc. combined with maps, lots of photographs and descriptions of the many way-points, covering almost every kilometer of road that is open to the public in the Park. Bokmakieriekie.

Kruger Wall Chart

Unread post by Berkhead » Tue Jan 10, 2012 7:40 pm

I am hoping someone may be able to help me. I would like to get a wall map of the Kruger (something along the lines of the map used on the sightings boards or maybe a little larger). Has anyone bought one of these or know where to get one?

Hi Berkhead,
This map here is made with vector graphics so is infinitely scalable, you would be able to print it any size you like without loosing print quality, I don't know where you live but in Canada there are several companies that would print this from a URL to whatever size you want. Hopefully you can find it "off the shelf" but if not this could be a solution.
The earth has a circumference of 40 075 km and I have to travel 17 141 km to get to the Kruger, that's just not right

Hi fellow mites.

I found Go Mag KNP Maps useful for my recent trip.

It added excitement and a different dimension to our trip planning.

Does anyone know where I can buy a large canvas map of the KNP? I am looking for one that shows a detailed map of the roads.
Thanks Everyone!

Hi there,

I've considered redrawing one and printing that into three sections about A3 in size.

Hi Yocheez99!

Is there a specific reason why you need the maps in PDF?

The maps are available in JPG format under the section "Camp Maps" in the lower right hand corner of each camp page, found here

Hope this is of use to you.

What map to buy online?

Unread post by MSI » Mon Jun 15, 2015 3:06 am

I tried doing a search on here for "buy map" on here but it said the search words were too common. Anyway, I know you can buy a map at any of the enterence gates to the Kruger, but can I buy that map online and have it sent to me? I want a paper map of the park and I also need to get from Nelspruit to Croc Bridge and then from Mopani to Phalaborwa, outside the park.

If I can't buy the "official" park map, what one would you suggest I buy? I was going to get a GPS loaded with South Africa maps but my TA said it was not needed. I will be in the Kruger, then I fly to Namibia for 12 days so I would also like a map for there too.

I have the worst sense of direction so I absolutely need a GPS or a very good map.

Thank you.

Good morning MSI,

Theres quite a few infomap's etc available that you can purchase online, please have a look at the below url...

Peter's Guides are very informative, it not only shows you the map but also what to expect on the route that you travel. You can download the apps from the apple or android store.

Just a suggestion thats worth investigating :)

You can use Google maps on you phone or tablet works great for planning your trip. Then on playstore you can buy the kruger park booklet solong it's r37 and it's exactly the same as the hard copy one you buy at the gates. Then when you arrive just buy a the hardcopy one.
