This sighting was on Orpen-Satara Road, early morning, close to camp on our first trip to Kruger in 2000. Hooked forever!!

as has been said that it is difficult to select an all time favourite

but here is one of mine. :D :D :D

this lady was stalking a group of wildebeest on the s100 (where else) and we followed her for a long while right up until the take down and devouring.

Not sure if it's my all time favourtie, but this pic of a vervet monkey in Kruger (on way to Letaba from Olifants) makes me smile every time :D . I swear he looks like he's waiting for the bus to come along! Camera was Fuji Finepix S5600 which has been awesome, although still have a few dramas with night shots. But I love this one

I may not be from Africa, but since my first visit a part of me always remains there. Can’t wait for the next trip, which will be the 10th

Unread post by buffalo_soldier » Tue May 10, 2011 11:50 am

Hello Everybody!

I think, everyone in this forum has a lot of lovely pictures and some of these are easily good enough to win prizes....but now i want you to post your special pic.

Your own picture you like most!!!! Your Picture NUMBER ONE!!!!

Something special, because of the moment you took it, or something very rare! Important is, that it is your NUMBER ONE.....

I hope you´ll help me to fill this topic with a lot of life, and with a lot of outstanding pics to make it a collection of dreams and passion. The passion for the photography and nature.

Please post your one and only with a short story about it....

HERE IS MY PIC NUMBER ONE.....

Image

I saw this beautiful male leopard near Skukuza in September 2010. This beau was about 7metres away from me and stared directly into my eyes. A magic moment......

Great idea Buffalo_Soldier

Actually I have many pics I like, but if I have to choose only one it will be this:

I have 2 that stand out for me as our all time best sightings.

One the S25 a couple of years ago

Image

and more recently if everyone will excuse me from posting it again!
our 2 Caracal kittens on the Mahonie Loop last year.

Indeed not an easy task to be done as there are far too many but if you chose one favourite sighting this would be the caracal we had 2009 in the KTP as we never expected to find one

Image

And also this leopard sighting which lasted around 3 hours will be unforgetable

Image

But I could have chosen around 100 pictures

Thanks for this topic, buffalo_soldier
