Spotted in KTP a few days ago, about 100 cm and very thin

Asked the new guide at TR, she had no idea what it was - someone else got a clue?

Thanks

Maybe one of the Psammophis species? (sand snakes)
There are 34 species, not sure which one.

It looks like it could be a Karoo Whip snake - Psammophis Notostictus. They are very common in the KTP.

Some more pics Here
Not sure if there is a difference between the Karroo or Kalahari ones?

Hi

Could you please help with ID? Could it be a Skaapsteker??

Seen on the entrance road to Grootkolk in KTP on 1 November 2017

It does look like a skaapsteker to me.

If you have a look at the topic Snake: Skaapsteker you will see there are many variations of this snake but there is one in there which I think confirms Karin's ID.

Good Morning. I don't think it's a skaapsteker. My guess would be juvenile mole snake, although I've never seen one with this reddish coloration before......It's beautiful :)
