Accommodations for 5 people

Unread postby jdhale » Fri Sep 11, 2015 5:29 pm

We have 3 children. The youngest is 11. Most park accommodations are for multiples of 2. Is it possible to put 5 people into a 4 person accommodation? Our youngest can sleep on the floor or couch if this is allowed.

The camp staff are usually very accommodating and willing to put an extra mattress in for another person, you would just have to pay the regular fee for the extra person.

We took our own stretcher and sleeping bag and put an extra adult in a two sleeper safari tent last time we were in Kruger. It was a bit of a squash, but the camp management were willing to help us.

Just ask.

And welcome to the forums. :D

A very warm welcome, jdhale, :gflower:

Chirinda, is correct, the four bedded accommodation can take an extra mattress.

Tambotie, Skukuza and Letaba also have four bedded tents that might be suitable.

The Lower Sabie huts have a five bedded unit. It is excellent value for money. The other huts are configured in such a way that you could stay next door to each other and be very comfy. That is another option.

Pretorius Kop is another camp that might have similar options to Lower Sabie. They do have units close to each other and I have often seen groups or families stay next door to each other and enjoy close proximity.

I hope that you find an option that suits you.
