Any other takers?

Shall we all meet at 7:45am in the parking lot next to the reception area?

Gary and Patrick picked us up just after 8am on a wet and chilly Kruger morning. After introductions, we were taken on a very informative game drive to the My Acre facility at Phabeni Gate.

The pathways leading to the 'school room' where kids from the surrounding community are brought to learn more about nature.

My Acre of Africa inquiry

Unread post by AFRICAT » Mon Apr 07, 2008 3:45 pm

A number of years ago I bought a brick for Ed for Christmas. I would like to know how we may learn whether or not this brick has been laid and where, please? The website was woefully inadequate, at least to me, and seems to be more advertisement than information for people who actually responded. I know I'm just not informed as to where to find this info., so please enlighten me! Many thanks.

AFRICAT - it is best to email jennie@myacreofafrica.org with your request and she will help you arrange to see your brick.

Some forum members visited their bricks a few weeks back.

Who owns a "My Acre of Africa" brick?

Unread post by AFRICAT » Sat Aug 02, 2008 2:35 pm

Just wanted to see who all owns one of these bricks, whether or not you've seen yours, and anybody have a photo of theirs?

Maybe if you don't have one yet, it would make a great gift for b'days, Mother or Father day's gifts, or just a truly memorable souvenir. Buy one each time you visit, if it's on an annual, etc basis.

I bought one back in 2002, but have not seen it yet. Wish they could find a way to photograph and show individual ones on the forum, even for a small fee, I'd be willing to pay!

AFRICAT - I see you have read this topic.

With regard to you having a pic taken of your brick for you - I am sure one of the forumites who visit close to Phabeni Gate, or will be visiting the facility in the near future will be able to help out.

Thanks to both of you! No, I hadn't seen that topic, but it certainly gives me a better idea of what's going on...really looks like they did a wonderful job. We will be going there next trip, so will see it in person, but wish I had thought to ask a fellow forumite to photograph mine...so, anyone out there want a photo of their brick when we visit? My pleasure!
