Hi, Does anyone know how the construction of the new chalets at Nossob is going?
I originate ly read that they would be ready in October 2016. We are in the KTP in November, but have not been able to book an ideal itinerary,so was hoping that they could be ready for then.
Chris.

Dear Chris,

The initial completion date was end of 2016 but due to construction delays and an unexpected hailstorm the date was moved to February 2017. Hopefully the chalets will be placed on the booking system early in the new 2016/2017 financial year.

Regards,
Nadia

Thanks for the swift reply Dinkybird and NadiaL.
I had hoped for them to be ready for my November visit but obviously not,I had read that work was due to start in August 2015 and scheduled to last 14 months .
We did see plenty of bricks along the road from TR to Nossob last December so if they are still there when we return we will pick them up and deliver to Nossob, this should help the contractors to meet their dates.!!!
Cheers,Chris.

Hi everyone, in 2014 we stayed in a 2 bed bungalow in Satara, at that time we had a few issues with the place and actually offered to take the Camp Manager around the bungalow to see it from a visitors perspective.

Let me stress we never complained just offered feedback, our view was we were fortunate to just be in Satara, I had asked on the forum what should we do and was advised to go down this route. Well, the Camp Manager, Deputy Camp Manager and the Duty Manager all took up our offer. At that time they said the unit would be closed and not opened again until it had been refurbished.

We are back again later this year and have booked one if the 2 bed roomed places again, does anyone know if any returns have been completed recently :hmz:

Many thanks :D

Merlin there has been on going renovations to the bungalows in Satara and other camps in the park.
I am not sure which unit you had the problems with but we stayed in one in the A circle in March and I was most impressed with this unit.
You can see some pics of it Here

Thanks Elsa, we need to have 2 separate bedrooms for this trip so I think the only ones with a correct layout would be the GC6B ones.

Last time we were in circle D bungalow 85, has anyone stayed in this one recently?

Hello, we are going to the Kruger in mid August. Will it be too cold to sleep in the overnight hides? We are planning to enter from the Phalaborwa gate and drive south. Which camp would you recommend on that itinerary?
Thanks for your help!
