I am almost positive they won't be allowed in Kallis!

Hippotragus wrote:Kallis - I assume by "tralli" you mean trailer. I think it is highly unlikely they will be allowed in. Open safari vehicles (OSVs) have to be registered (with the yellow stickers) and, as far as I know, no other semi-open vehicles are allowed. Passengers are not allowed to sit in the back of open bakkies, so I don't think a tarpaulin (cover) on the trailer will make any difference. Apart from Park regulations, it would be dangerous and uncomfortable to travel in the trailer!

Hi Hippotragus. by Tralli, I mean the bars on the back of the bakkie, so something similar to the example below. I do agree, it would be v uncomfortable, and I personally would not like to travel like that at all.

Thanks Elsa.

I know they don't have a problem with fiberglass canopy because I have seen people travelling in the Park at the back of a fibre glass canopy, but when he mentioned what he did, I was clueless.

Looks like it could have been a SANParks vehicle and they do allow staff to be transported in that manner, or seem to allow it but visitors definitely not.

Yea they were park staff of some type.

Dunno how the animals know which open tops to potentially attack and which open tops to avoid
