I agree. You might just as well use cardboard.

There is now a new supermarket in Malelane.

Shoprite opened in the new Ingwe Shopping Centre yesterday. This shopping centre is situated between the N4 and Inkwazi Shopping Centre.

This supermarket is comparable to the Super Spar in the Inkwazi Centre.

Construction is also underway in Komatipoort for a Shoprite, on the left hand side of the road, more or less opposite Komati Square. Will be a while though before this one opens.

I will be visiting the new Shoprite as soon as possible and will report back. I am told a MrPriceHome also opened next to it, so somewhere for other oddments that were forgotten too.

Hi Elsa

Yes, went past yesterday morning and it wasn't too busy, so went in to check it out.

They had some good opening specials. All shelves were well stocked.

Their fruit, veggies and meat all looked very good and they had stacks of loaves of freshly baked bread.

Let's hope it stays that way.

I went in this evening to get some milk.....Wow! It feels good, has a good range of items, and good choices too. Even camping stuff which the Spar and PnP do not have. It is going to steal a lot of customers I think, and if the butchery turns out to be good then Spar will really suffer.

The best place is probably Pick and Pay on the R40. There is a small shopping centre, and you have a choice of a few shops as well as PnP.

Hello,

On the way into the Park there are plenty of decent places to shop for such stuff.

When last I stayed at Orpen, we took an afternoon trip to the Endangered WIldlife Trust in Hoedspruit, which was a brilliant addition to the Kruger Park trip.

Rescued Rhino's, cheetahs, Wild Dog , Sable Antelope, Civet cats, Servals etc. Was a really enjoyable 3 hour tour.

Neil.

Hi Rainman,

Welcome to the forum.

Looking at last week's Pick n Pay specials there is a 26 litre hard plastic cooler box for R179, so I guess it would be a bit more not on special. There is also a smaller 10 litre one for R90. If you're coming from overseas that would probably be inexpensive for you.

Enjoy your visit.

Yes thanks - that was the idea to buy it there rather than bring one along all the way..
