Quite a few songs remind me of Kruger. Today it is an old Simon and Garfunkel song called Homeward Bound. It reminds me of travelling to the Kruger National Park, not from.
“Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times, it's the only time we've got.”

During the floods in Kruger, Bridge over Troubled waters came to mind

We have so many songs that reminds me of our Kruger trips…… But there is one song that stands out as our ‘Kruger song’, Dario G – Sunchyme (Their 1997 hit)

Approximately 3km before we reach a Kruger gate we listen to Sunchyme……… then when the song ends, the cd player gets switched of and the windows get rolled down.......

A song that reminds me of Kruger over this holiday period is "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". The Kruger veldt is full of “summerness” especially after the rains.

Happy travels to those who will be spending Christmas and New Year in the Kruger.

Today it would probably be Time is Tight that catchy retro instrumental one :D .

Travel safely those who will be visiting Kruger over the Easter holidays or any of the other SA National Parks and enjoy your trip  .

Today I will settle for the song Paradise Road - Any road leading from an entrance Gate into the Kruger will suffice. The well known song Happy Birthday is appropriate today to sing for the forum member who started this thread – Happy Birthday Bush Baptist

"Awake" by Josh Groban - it is all about amazing moments that end way to soon, wanting to stop time to stay in the moment forever

One song that always reminds me of the Kruger would be Johnny Clegg and Savukua's "Spirit of the great heart"

If if feel in a jazzy mood, Henry Mancini's "Baby Elephant Walk" does it for me too...

If it is today -- Happy Birthday Bush Baptist!
I like silence in the bush... but have special memories of Handel's water music in the Kgalagdi during heavy rains...
Kruger -- just listen to the sounds of the bush!

God bless,

This song is from the other side of the planet and it is great to listen to while dreaming about a bush holiday down south. I have put the music to some of my video clips on youtube (link below) - check it out and dream on!! 8)

When you sit 0n a gravel road 10km out of camp. No one around you. listening to the odd bird... and The Sound of Silence.....
Camdeboo a real gem

I say 'no bail to poachers', name and shame them, even at a sniff of suspicion. Lets get rid of them quickly

I do not know any songs about Cricket The Cricket Song might be appropriate for the 2016 Cricket Weekend even though it is about a different kind of Cricket:

“The crickets sing loud, but they sing good,
the crickets sing like I wish I could.
I sing good but the crickets sing best,
me and the crickets put the night to rest."
“Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times, it's the only time we've got.”
