Today is the last day for the public meetings and is being held in Durban right now. If you submit submissions or visit the link above you should get a good idea of what KNP Management are doing in conjunction with the public for the next 10 year Management Plan.

I do hope this assists in answering your question.

mmm.
:hmz:
As a long standing overseas visitor (> 30 years) and thus a substantial financial contribitor to SanParks income (and thus one of the many who fund SanParks), i can see no way to have a proper say in their future...
but maybe that's the Zuma way ...

Those who may not be able to attend the sessions but would like to register as a stakeholder and give input, can still do so through the SANParks website on https://www.sanparks.org/conservation/park_man/
2016 Reis verhaal from Kruger 'Bush' Camps.. TR done

Other TR's 2015 Cape to Namibia .. 2013 Mokala & KNP ..

I was at the Durban meeting today. It was most disappointing that so few stakeholders were there. You can still register and send in a written submission which has to be in by 6 June.

Salamanda Good for you for attending the meeting , It is a disappointment that the outside areas were badly attended BUT they can still register as stakeholders and if the peeps do not please don't go to Social media with grumbles .as if you weren't there you wont know what the Sanparks have on the cards for the next 10 years or so..

It is possible inyanga1 and in fact there is specific mention of overseas clients being invited to do so. I imagine you might use your passport number? You still have time, up to 6 June and you can put in a written submission.

D.B. - if you are able, could you give me a link to the power point presentation tha twe had yesterday at the IAP meeting in Durban? It was very difficult to see much of the information on many of the screens and I was told that it wasavailable on line. I can't find it though. Thanks.

Sal, I will have to find out where it is - alternatively will ask. I do have my own photos and video my SO took of the CT meeting, I will ask if I can share here.

I also have a copy of the form to fill in to register, if anyone wants a copy - if it is not working to accept non SA IDs - that I will email anyone who would like it.

Sorry Salamanda it is still not possible to register online with the normal form if we do not have a SA ID, and it also does not like my UK postcode!!!

It should be possible, but just doesn't seem to have happened yet.

Hi Val, so sorry about that, please don't let it put you off! DB says if you PM her she will email you the form so you can fill it in and email it back to SANParks and you can then email your submission.Good luck.

I have found this extremely difficult to understand. And so has SANParks from what I understand by comments made at the CT meeting, and from what others told me the comments were at the poorly attended Pretoria, Jhb and now Durban meeting. Compare this to the meetings, also held on workdays, in the areas next to the park, where hundreds of folk pitched. 499 at one meeting. In CT there were in the region of 10 folk who went.
