PLACE

Lots and lots to tell! But first things first.....

Let me take you on a journey to Soho
where we’ll stop and have tea for three
"Soho" ... stop here ...and have "t" for "three" ("t" as 3rd letter)
(Sotho is a native language)

We are now in Africa, under an apple-leaf tree ….
Chatting with our friends from Soho
Speaking So(t)ho
Eating dried mopani worms, definitely not for free
Gather up your things, it’s almost three ... time to go!
Don't stay too long, this is not our destination...

Very important! Make notes of where we go,
For now, only one will do
Learn your abc and one two three
(work with ... abc = first, second and third letter)
At the end, don’t C the 3
“A” for you and “1” for me

Think back to the time in Soho, when we had tea for three
The name of the place we are looking for, is a Sotho word for....
Now find an oxymoron hidden in a cycle of seasons
Be very careful, choose only two!
(usually 4, but not in this case)
From rivers of plenty to beautiful red dunes of sand
Rivers - water (wet season) .... dunes of sand - dry (dry season)

River of Sand in Sotho is ....

Unforgettable! A scene painted by nature’s own hand

I'll explain the rest as soon as the answer's out

Then the next part
"Happiness is like jam. You can't spread even a little without getting some on yourself."

The bishop - I can't remember ..... but it's not Shingwedzi :(

Another clue .....

Eating dried mopani worms, definitely not for free
Stopping at Mopani for something to eat
Gather up your things, it’s almost three ... time to go!
Don't stay too long, this is not our destination...

Not Shingwedzi, not Mopani .....

PLACE

Lots and lots to tell! But first things first …..

Let me take you on a journey to Soho
the first word is “Let” - So, Starting with “Let…….”
where we’ll stop and have tea for three
Stop in Soho … have “t” for “three” – So(t)ho

We are now in Africa, under an apple-leaf tree ….
Not in “Soho” :)
Chatting with our friends from Soho
Speaking Sotho, (one of the African languages)
Eating dried mopani worms, definitely not for free
Eating at Mopani
Gather up your things, it’s almost three …. time to go!
Not staying at Mopani, have to move on to a different location

Very important! Make notes of where to go,
Take tabs to guide you to….
For now, only one will do
use “tab” in finding destination = ***tab***

Learn your abc and one two three
Letters with corresponding numbers
At the end, don’t C the 3
End of “abc” – don’t use “C” or “3”
“A” for you and “1” for me,
a…b…a (first letter for you and first number for me)

Thus far >Let + tab + aba

Think back to the time in Soho, when we had tea for three …
So(t)ho
Now find an oxymoron hidden in a cycle of seasons,
Be very careful, choose only two!

From rivers of plenty to beautiful red dunes of sand
Unforgettable! A scene painted by nature’s own hand

River of plenty – wet … dunes of sand – dry
“Wet and dry seasons”

Oxymoron -”River of sand” …

Letaba means "river of sand" in Sotho

You are exactly where I wanted you to be!!!

Hi Rosie :) easy for me, I had all the answers in front of me  Took me forever to get it together

Yes, for the next part stay right in Letaba and surrounding area.

Wait!! Before you relax ...

There's a twist to this tale, but unfortunately you’ll have to unravel the next riddle if you want to know more about this extra-ordinary event. Different, but very, very entertaining!

The story I’ve been told happened many, many years ago
35 or so, that much I know!

Once upon a time there were three men
a ranger named Bruce, (who acted very strange)
a hunter named Marvin, and a man called Rodger (both acted the same)
Rodger, the most dangerous of them all,
Had a friend who was caught with a gold nugget in his hand.
Part of the plot, Rodger had to find a gun of pure gold
Both of them, a sight to behold!

Behind the scenes however, a fourth man was at work …
Will, a part-time goldsmith, salt of the earth
carried half of the burden with Bruce at his side
Together they shouted at the apex of evil,
Never flinched, but stood their ground with honour and pride

  I've thought of that too Richprins!! Even thought of "Who killed Roger Rabbit"  I'm sure there was character in there called Marvin.

I'm just not finding anything involving Bruce Bryden that relates to what Spotted Cat has described. Do you have a copy of Bruce Bryden's book..... nothing in there??

So.... we know that whatever it was happend around 1975. There were 4 men involved, Bruce Bryden, Rodger ?, Marvin ? and Will ?. There was a golden gun, gold nugget (of course these could mean somethong completly different :) ) and a goldsmith!! They all acted in differently :hmz: Was there perhaps a movie made about Krugers millions? Just a thought :wall: :wall:
