You are very close Philip. I will give it to you. Mthoma is the Shangaan word for Jackalberry trees, and Mthomeni is "the place of the jackalberry". There are probably a variety of spellings for the word. :D

Thanks for that added information Philip.We always idle over the causeways in the hopes is seeing something interesting,however I think from now on we will just speed up a bit to get over that one particularly around sunset...eeeeeuuuuhhhhh!
