Fortunate enough to have seen them twice, in broad daylight. Once in the 80's on a farm in the Mara district along the Soutpansberge, driving through the veldt, and again about five years ago out walking on a hunt. Limpopo somewhere, can't remember exactly.

Not seen them too often. But first looking at the name I was totally wrong - "lamelligerus" immediately took my thoughts to "Lammergeier", aka the bearded vulture.

TP, always makes me wonder how they hold things in that open bill, and what the reason really is for the outcurvature.
