This plant is a succulent, grows in the lowveld slowveld. It has beautiful flowers. It was used as arrow poison at a time, even though not as poisonous to animals as they eat it.
You might get me out of the bush, but you won't get the bush out of me, it's deep in my heart

In Alexandria forest, together with the yellow woods they bask in the sunshine.
When out of flowering season the this tree is difficult to tell from another very similar tree found in my area.

There are only a few of these trees in the Kruger National Park, although they are fairly widespread in other areas. Sunbirds are particularly fond of them and are their main pollinator. This tree is a sight to behold in September and October when in flower. The fruit falls to the ground before being fully ripe where it completes the ripening process!

Cordyla africana, Wild Mango. There is a large one at Skukuza nursey that makes a huge mess when in fruit.

Ok ,
In the well known botanical garden in Cape Town there used to be 2 trees planted alongside each other, just after the garden was proclaimed.
One of these trees blew over about 20 years ago.
Many people have sat under the remaining tree's shade in the main garden.
This tree is one of 4 species found in RSA.

Some trees and plants I know and others I know I don't have a clue, so google becomes my friend there. :)
