Hai Elsa,

Just wanted to ask some things about the new tents at Lower Sabie.

Just wanted to know if you can book the new tents with the river view or are they still renovating/renewing them?

I see on the map that there are a few new tents on there with bush view but still the olds with river view?

Kind regards,

Patricia

Patricia, the safari tents renovations are ongoing but there are some that have been completed and they are listed as the Luxury Safari Tents with either a bush view or a river view Lower Sabie Accommodation
They will obviously be popular especially in high season so if you see one listed as available then grab it quick.
but there will be more available as the renovations continue.

This info from last Nov.
Lesley Nyawo wrote:The new tents are called Luxury Safari Tents. 5 of these Tents have the bush view and 1 has a river view; you can request anyone of them between numbers (1 - 5). The river view one is labelled number 0.

Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely keep an eye out then! Fingers crossed. Loved the old tents but these look great as well! Thanks again!

Good day. Could anyone please give me an update on the luxury safari tents river front at Lower Sabie? Is the renovations still going on? I belief there is one rier front unit already available but even until 31st of May there is no availability? Is there anyone who knows when renovations will be done?

Harry, as I have indicated to Patricia in my post above, the renovations are ongoing and progressing as fast as possible.
I can try and find out exactly how many of them have been completed for you other than what Lesley Nyawo has said in his post from last Nov.
If you check the availability in January next year I can see there are some available Here and in the next month as well.
Obviously they are very popular and are going to be snatched up quickly.

Hi guys,

Any updates on what is happening with the LST2U units? We are wanting to book what was LST2U number 27 for next year but have no idea now what it is classed as. Is it still going to be an LST2U or is the code going to change to the new luxury tent code or is that just for the ones that were totally built from scratch? We will not be visiting until the latter half of next year so I know we can't book anything for another couple of months but just wondered when bookings open will there be full availability as they assume all renovations will be complete by second half of next year, or will it just be the ones that have already been completed?

Many thanks.

Kirsty, from what it looks like to me and I can only speculate until I get confirmation from the park itself is that all the tents will be upgraded to become
LBVST2's.
I am sure the renovations are ongoing and as more become available they will be shown.

Hi there! I'm traveling for my first time to Kruger in a few weeks and have a place in Lower Sabie (BD2) one night and then Satara the next. I watch the site daily and a few new accommodations just popped up for Lower Sabie! Being a first timer, wanted to get opinions on if I should switch to a BD2U or a Lux Safari Bush view (or just stick with the BD2). Any insight would be great!!

Warm welcome to the forum dmarie17!

I would say if you can change to a perimeter bungalow, go for it, that view over the river is really worthwhile!
Those new upgraded tents do look very nice as well and really also very worthwile trying out!
So I would say the choice is yours and what a decision!
Do enjoy your trip and stay whatever you decide!
